I got bitten by the Brain Training bug (i won't try and recreate his name - my memory is not that good) at the airport on the way to Stockholm. The security guard had locked my bag and the PSP inside it, in the office on the previous night, so my erstwhile plan to play Daxter across the North Sea was out, and I was forced to blow dust off the DS.
Playing this kind of game in a public space has limitations: reeling off an excerpt from Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice' like stream of consciousness is liable to get funny looks at least and the plastic handcuffs if you're on a plane.
But despite feeling like homework, I've been putting in the hours (i felt guilty when he reproached me for not coming back for a whole week). The only occasional frustration is when it doesn't decode my voice or my hastily drawn numbers.
The real surprise was actually getting into the soduku which previously I had written off as an entirely pointless and tedious waste of time. Maybe this is less about brain age reductionthan middle age advancement.
