chateux : I decided to take it upon myself to solve this common problem.
For those of you with less experience with computers "H:/" might have a different label on your computer,
Plug your memory stick into your computer
Navigate to the H:/PSP/PHOTO/ directory
Right click the directory you want to hide and go to properties
Look for the Attributes sections
Put a check in the box next to Hidden
Click 'OK'
the end result is that your PSP no longer see the directory.
if you want this directory to become available again, follow the same process but instead remove the check from the box next to Hidden.
this process has a lot of steps and may even require the correct card reader for your computer but it does the trick.
