As I begin to take off the "protective" plastic, I realize that this is will be a pretty good experience.
I'll start off with an exhibition game. It's pretty simple: select your team, roster, gameplan, etc.
So I start the game. Because I had the demo for this game, I already know most of the controls. The only change is that the (triangle) button is the spin move, not on the demo.
OK, I play my game, win by 20, then go back to the main menu. So I'm tempted to try an infrastructure game. As I sign on (at approx. 11 PM CST) there are less than 25 people playing. My first thought was to wait until the morning to see if I can play then, but someone challenges me.
This dude was the biggest no-life EVER!!! All he did was to try an steal the ball.
Be very aware that if you wish to play this game online, you will face people like this.
Also in infrastructure, the connections aren't that great. The controls aren't very sensitive, and there's constant periods of stopping waiting for the connection.
This game has many other features, including dodge ball, hot shot, own the court, and All-Star Weekend.
This game was $40, but it is really probably worth $30 of your money.
I'll give it an A-
